What are your silver charms and bracelets made from ?
All of our silver charms (excluding the mobile phone charms) are made from Sterling Silver, also known as 925 Silver. Pure silver is too soft for most jewellery uses so it is mixed with 7.5% copper to produce Sterling Silver, this increases its strength whilst maintaining its beauty. This high quality silver is the same that is used by many high street retailers including Tiffany and Links Of London. We DO NOT sell any silver plated charms or bracelets.
Are your charms hallmarked?
Silver items are exempt from hallmarking if they weigh under 7.78grams and in some cases hallmarks can be left off if they detract from the design of the item. However most, but not all, of our charms carry the '925' stamp.
Can I get a custom bracelet / bangle / bookmark / earrings / phone charm made for me ?
Yes. Order the bracelet or other charm holder and the charms thet you want fitted. Select the appropriate service from Charm Services - we provide all make up services free of charge. Proceed through Check Out as normal. If you have any specific requests (e.g the ordering of the charms on a bracelet) contact us through the Enquiry Form on the Contact Us page.
Can I attach my charms myself ?
All of our silver charms are supplied with both a sterling silver jump ring and a sterling silver split ring. The jump ring may be used to connect your charm but this must be soldered on to fully secure the charm - we would recommend that a jeweller should do this for you. Alternatively you can use the silver split ring supplied to produce a secure DIY connection. The split rings act in much the same way as tiny key rings. We find it easier to use split ring tweezers to initially open the ring slightly and then place it on the bracelet / bangle. Once this has been done the charm can be carefully added to the ring to supply a safe & secure connection for your charm. Please be careful not to over stretch the split ring.
Do you accept large or wholesale orders ?
We are happy to accept large or wholesale orders and are able offer very competitive prices. Do you ship international?
Yes, we can dispatch orders worldwide. Items are normally sent out by Royal Mail Airmail or by an insured Airmail service if the value of goods is greater than £30. If you have any questions regarding postage prices please contact us at sales@charmschooluk.com.
What are your shipping charges ?
Our shipping charges are banded by the order value as follows:
- UK (order less than £14.99) - First Class - £1.50
- UK (order between £15 and £39.99) - First Class Recorded - £2.25
- UK (order between £40.00 and £74.99) - Special Delivery - £5.50
- International (order less than £20 - Airmail £3.00
- International (order between £20 and £75 - International Insured Service - £6.00
- International (order greater than £75 - International Insured Service - £8.00
First Class Recorded, Special Delivery and an International Insured Service may be selected at checkout even if your basket is less that the designated value.
How are your goods packaged ?
All of our Sterling Silver Charms are packed in small white gift boxes to ensure safe transit - this makes them perfect for gifts. If a number of charms are purchased together we will pack two or three charms to a box. If you prefer to have your charms individually boxed we can supply additional boxes for a nominal charge - select Additional Charm Boxes in Charm Services
Adult size silver bracelets are supplied in beautiful bracelet boxes,baby & child bracelets are supplied in white gift boxes, silver bangles are supplied in white gift boxes, silver bookmarks are not supplied boxed. All phone charms are supplied in retail packaging
In all cases we are able to offer FREE gift wrapping if requested - select Gift Wrap in Charm Services.
Do you accept returns ?
Yes, we have a no quibble returns policy within 14 days of receipt, full details of this policy can be found in our Terms & Conditions.
How do I know if my order has been placed?
Once you have completed your order online you will recieve a confirmation email within 10 minutes of ordering. If you do not please contact us as the order will not of been completed. We would recommend checking any spam or junk folders as order emails can get caught up by over zealous spam filtering.
When can I expect my order to arrive?
We dispatch items daily Mon-Fri so whenever possible all items will be sent within 24 hours following receipt of payment. In the case of payments made by cheque, this will be once the cheque has cleared. All items sent within the UK should arrive within 1 to 2 working days after dispatch, subject to any disruptions with the Royal Mail. Overseas items can take anywhere between 4 to 14 days.
Do you have any charms other than those listed ?
Although we have a large selection of charms listed in our shop we are constantly enlarging this collection. if there is a specific charm that you are looking send your enquiry through the Contact Us page and we will check with all of our suppliers to see if we can get one for you. |
